Western U P Snowmobile Trail Report

2/18/2025

Cold temps today through Thursday, snow showers for Wednesday and Thursday. 

Please stay on marked trails. Riding on unmarked trails can result in the clubs losing easement for that trail.

Gogebic Range Trail Authority Groomer Report   
Last night, we groomed trails 2, 8, 11, and 160
Trail 2 is great at this time!
Trail 8 is great at this time!
Trail 11 is good to great at this time!
Trail 160 is good up to the gorge but drops to moderate after.
Let the snow keep coming!

Gogebic Area Groomers Report
Bergland Area Groomer’s Report for 2/18/25. Trails have been groomed. New snow over the past couple days? It’s hard to judge with the wind we had yesterday. We’re guessing 20″+… Still snowing this morning when Groomer’s got in. Temp’s have remained around -3 to 11°, which helps set up the trails. Traffic has calmed and will allow us to catch up with the new snowfall.    Trail 1 between Marenisco and Presque Isle has been groomed. Cold temps tonight with another few inches of lake effect snow expected overnight

U.P. Thunder Riders Trail Report
Groomer Update 2/17/25- Our groomers are going out daily and grooming our entire snowmobile trail system. We had heavy weekend traffic so it’s going to take a couple passes to get our trails back in shape. We have been getting fresh snow daily and that will help our trails. Thank you to everyone who came up and enjoyed Watersmeet trails.
