TRAIL REPORT

1/18/2025
Yesterday did not do us any favors. We were holding up ok and then the short warm up really took action and it stayed warm well into midnight and now it's back to 20 degrees. We have been grooming and doing what we can to help the trails. Currently everything is very thin. There are several areas that are rideable but no good way to make a loop without running into open areas that have rocks and very little snow. We moved a groomer up to Trout Lake last night and did what we could to help the loop around town. We will groom that area again tonight.
Earlier this week several people were able to leave Moran and head north with good results but after yesterday's weather I would not recommend at this time. As soon as we have better news we will update. Thanks

We received 4-6 inches in our area. It looks more like winter. As of now we still do not have enough snow to groom. Chances of snow this week and cold for the most part so it won't be long. We will update as soon as the groomers are moving. Thank you

Unfortunately we have had nothing to update in the last few weeks. The next chances of snow come in 5-6 days. We have bare grass in most of our area. We do have a hard ice base in the wooded areas of our trail system where we groomed last month so when snow comes we will be able to get trails in shape fairly quick. We will update when groomers are running. Thank you

We are parked until further notice. There is a flat base in most areas that will help us get going once the weather changes. If you do venture into the woods, use extreme caution as there is frozen truck ruts and water holes. When we are back grooming we will update our report.

With the roll coaster of weather in the last week, we are now freezing back up and going out to groom what we can this evening. Today we have been doing some trail maintence and training. St ignace area is very thin and wet while trout lake area is ridable. Continue to expect early season conditions in our area for the next few days at least. We look to be missing the lake affect snow. We are out doing everything we can with the snow we have. As soon as conditions change we will be sure to update our trails reports. Thank you. WD

We received just enough snow to start panning and grooming in some areas over the last few days. Expect very early type trail conditions. We do have a few water holes towards epoufette.
Also please be aware of mixed traffic in our area this time of year with late season hunting.
As soon as conditions change, we will update

Temps dipped into the teens last night. This should help firm up the trails. As of right now the groomers are remaining parked until we receive more snow. The last system that pushed through with all the lake effect did not give us anything to groom. We will update next Monday or if conditions change drastically. VP.
