Somebody has to be first! We are grooming tonight. Conditions can change fast with spring conditions but there is a lot of areas that are excellent and hoping to hold through the weekend. The first 4 miles coming out of St ignace is rough with trees down and truck ruts. From there north is ok. Cut river area is thin the last couple miles. Other than that expect spring conditions where open areas can melt fast.

We received 4-5 inches of snow last night. Although there is plenty of snow in the woods we still have wet areas and thin spots in the open. Moran to St ignace is most of our problem area where we have cleared the downed trees just enough to get a sled through. We also have deep truck ruts coming out of St Ignace that has made for very rough ride in that area. Moran north to Trout lake is all decent at the moment. We have not groomed but the old base is still smooth and good to ride. If riding in the next couple days just expect late season conditions where you will find some excellent riding and some poor. Also be on the look out for downed trees. We will update one more time towards the end of the week.

From St ignace to north of Moran we received 8-10 inches of snow last night. The storm seemed to hit our area the hardest with wind damage as well. There is wet spots under the snow and a lot of downed trees. It will take us a few days to get the trees cleaned up. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the low 40s and then cool off for the weekend with more snow Sunday night. Groomers are parked for now. If Sunday storm pans out we will run one more time and be sure to report. There has been a few sleds out today. Trout lake did not get as much snow but there was more old snow underneath so there is areas in the woods that you could ride. It's just getting to them that's tough. It would depend on how much melting goes on tomorrow before we could talk about Saturday conditions.

After our big rain we are now froze solid. We still have a base on most of our system but no fresh snow to keep sleds cool. Thinner to the south and more snow towards trout lake. The only grooming we will be doing is near trout lake where we picked up a couple inches of snow. If riding in our area this weekend use extreme caution.

Possible 1 inch of rain tonight and tomorrow with very little snow forecasted for us. We are on hold until further notice. There is good base in the woods currently, we just can't even predict what the next two days will do to our trails. This upcoming weekend does look to be cold. We will update in a couple days. Good or bad

St ignace area did not get the snow that was forecasted yesterday. Yes you still can ride from there this weekend but it does have a few thin spots for the first couple miles. I wouldn't stop from riding because it quickly gets better as you go north. It has all been groomed. The south loop is in good condition as you head towards cut river and the Trout Lake area received 4 inches of snow on top of a good base and was also groomed last night. We will hold onto these conditions for the next few days and then make changes to our report as needed. Thank you

We have continued to be warm the last three days but we will survive. We were able to build a base and in most areas our trails are still good. Yes you can find a few thin spots but mostly white. We are grooming our entire system tonight in preparation for tomorrow's potential snow storm. It won't take much snow to make things pretty again and the weekend temps are cold. If your looking for another trip and want to ride out of St ignace area this is gonna be your weekend. If something changes we will update but as of now the weekend looks positive.

Quick trail update. Currently we have plenty of snow, cold temperatures, active grooming and everything is in good shape. No issues in our area to report.
A lot of people have been asking about the possible ice bridge. We DO NOT report ice conditions. All ice is at your own risk.
When there is a major change in our trail conditions we will be sure to update. If this is the last update on our page please consider it accurate.

Cold temps and active grooming. Our conditions should hold very similar for the next upcoming days. No issues to report, our system is all ridable, mostly flat and white. Potential for a few thin spots on the grade between St Ignace and Moran but not enough to stop you from making an overall good ride.

We are grooming and have had just enough snow to keeps the trails white and in good condition. No major issues to report. Yes you can ride out of St ignace. Brevort, Epoufette and Trout Lake areas are all good.

Everything is being groomed on a as needed basis. We are mostly flat and in good shape. The only issue to note is we do not have a big base on the rail road grade from Moran to St ignace. It is currently passable with a few thin spots and might get worse as the weekend gets busy. Our next snow chance comes on Saturday night. Overall you can expect a good ride in our area. Thank you!

We keep getting a little snow and grooming is taking place. Trails are improving. We still could use more snow from St ignace to just north of Moran but everything is passable. Our trackers are up and working great. We will update trail conditions in a few days. Thanks.

We had both groomers running last night and they are back out today. Yesterday's snowfall ranged from 8-15 inches of powder. Some places even a little more. It will settle down since it's so fluffy but we are looking good for the weekend. You now can ride out of St Ignace. The first 5 miles will be a little thin and still has frozen truck ruts so please be careful. Otherwise our entire system has enough snow to have an overall good ride. When conditions change we will update.

Yesterday did not do us any favors. We were holding up ok and then the short warm up really took action and it stayed warm well into midnight and now it's back to 20 degrees. We have been grooming and doing what we can to help the trails. Currently everything is very thin. There are several areas that are rideable but no good way to make a loop without running into open areas that have rocks and very little snow. We moved a groomer up to Trout Lake last night and did what we could to help the loop around town. We will groom that area again tonight.
Earlier this week several people were able to leave Moran and head north with good results but after yesterday's weather I would not recommend at this time. As soon as we have better news we will update. Thanks

We received 4-6 inches in our area. It looks more like winter. As of now we still do not have enough snow to groom. Chances of snow this week and cold for the most part so it won't be long. We will update as soon as the groomers are moving. Thank you

Unfortunately we have had nothing to update in the last few weeks. The next chances of snow come in 5-6 days. We have bare grass in most of our area. We do have a hard ice base in the wooded areas of our trail system where we groomed last month so when snow comes we will be able to get trails in shape fairly quick. We will update when groomers are running. Thank you
12/20/2024
We are parked until further notice. There is a flat base in most areas that will help us get going once the weather changes. If you do venture into the woods, use extreme caution as there is frozen truck ruts and water holes. When we are back grooming we will update our report.

With the roll coaster of weather in the last week, we are now freezing back up and going out to groom what we can this evening. Today we have been doing some trail maintence and training. St ignace area is very thin and wet while trout lake area is ridable. Continue to expect early season conditions in our area for the next few days at least. We look to be missing the lake affect snow. We are out doing everything we can with the snow we have. As soon as conditions change we will be sure to update our trails reports. Thank you. WD
