We tried everything we could today to keep up with traffic and the warmer weather. Unfortunately it is still too warm to groom and do any good. It is not gonna get cold enough to groom until tomorrow night for us. We ran hard all week to prepare for this weekend but the weather is winning and expect rough trail conditions for the next few days.
Also to top off some of our recent bad luck the John Deere groomer broke down in the trail south of trout lake and will be there for a few days at least. We are not giving up and believe there is a chance to get ready for next weekend it just may take a bit. We will update when trail conditions are better.

Firsts thoughts are what the heck do we do??? Well at the moment we unhooked drag and running the John Deere track tractor just to try and break through. We received somewhere around 3ft so far where it hasn't blowed. There is 6 ft plus drifting in spots. The drifts are gonna get hard to. As much as I would like to say it's awesome out here it just isn't and will take several days to get somewhat of a trail. We are just getting started so there could be more surprises but we are trying!! For the next several days if you are coming up our trails are drifting and there is so much snow that it will take several trips to get smoothed out. We will update when things change. WD

The answer to the question that has been asked a few dozen times the past few days about if the trails are good or not. Well we are halfway through grooming our southern loop and into St. Ignace and the trails held up great. We were concerned that there would be stutter bumps all through the system and that couldn't be anything further from the truth. Trails are hard packed with ice base, and are only going to get better with the 2 systems coming through this weekend.
Get out and ride the trails are great.

We are heading out grooming tonight! It is warm at the moment but tomorrow looks cold and will bring a good day for riding. We still have plenty of good snow. Tomorrow (Saturday ) we are gonna be at kings fish market in Moran with our groomer from 3-7pm. They are cooking up some awesome BBQ to help support our club. If your in the area please stop in and say hi

6-10 inches of new snow yesterday. We have major drifting in the open areas, mid 30s for today and tomorrow. With more snow/rain/ice on Friday then cooling off for the weekend. Ride with caution as some areas are very smooth and nice but there is drifts that have created unexpected hazards. We are grooming at night and doing what we can but with all this wind, snow, warmer temps and freezing rain it is gonna take a few days to get trails back to perfect.

We haven't had much to update lately as it has been cold and very little fresh snow for the last week. We have plenty of base, we are grooming as needed and no issues to report. Our weather forecast has some warmer temps for a few days and then back to cold. When there is any major change we will be sure to update but as for now be careful, have fun and ride safe.

Word of the day is cold! This is our best friend right now. We have snow and no issues to report. We are grooming and trails are good. We don't see any major changes in the next week. Also for the people asking about the potential ice bridge. WE DO NOT report any conditions on ice and we will not recommend crossing.

We have had a messy few days. We were not able to groom last night because of the rain yesterday and our temps didn't go below freezing until 1 am. We are running both groomers tonight. Trails may be icy in spots but still have plenty of base. If your riding today there may be some areas with bumps and wet spots but trails will improve after tonight's grooming. We will continue to update when conditions change. For now expect overall good riding for the next few days at least. WD

We continue to work daily on trail clean up from the storm. Today we cleared from Moran to St Ignace and it has been groomed as well. Plenty of snow and now passable. We still have a section about 3 miles long that is not passable by groomer but you can go through on sleds. That is located on south loop between Castle rock and Brevort lake rd. We will have it in shape in the next couple days. We have one more section to clear and groom yet on the caffey truck trail which we hope to have done tomorrow. This work has taken a few more days then planned, but should be in good shape shortly. As for now there is plenty snow and good riding to be had.

Currently we have white out conditions. And several inches of new snow on top of ice. We will start trail clean up as soon as the storm passes. Until we are able to get in the woods we won't know how long it will take to clear the trails. If you are riding in our area the next couple days please use caution as there may be down trees and several areas of drifting. We will update this page as soon as we get the trails back in shape. Thank you!
